A platform for Earth stewardship
Why Mega Forest connects ecological restoration with the ways we grow food, make materials and produce energy.
Mega Forest begins with a simple purpose: help build a more habitable Earth. That means supporting biodiversity and living biomass, reducing emissions and pollution, and improving the systems people depend on. Our scope includes forests, agriculture, industrial processes and power production.
These areas belong in the same conversation. A planting project depends on land use and long-term care. A material choice depends on how it is produced and what happens after use. An energy system depends on where it is built, what it displaces and the resources it requires.
Our starting point is a platform for questions, practical planning and evidence. The initiatives on this site are a research agenda. They are not a claim that funded programs, staffed laboratories or successful field trials already exist. We intend to develop specific work with people who bring relevant knowledge, places and skills.
We want to make the next step useful: define the problem, understand the baseline, compare options, test carefully and share what happened. Some ideas will fail. Others will need revision. Making those findings visible is part of stewardship.
We welcome people who want to contribute to that work—and people who can show us where our assumptions are wrong.
